The IWS Field Group consists of all faculty members at the Claremont Colleges who contribute courses to the Women’s Studies curriculum. There are currently about 170 members of the IWS Field Group. IWS plans one or two Field Group meetings each year to discuss major proposals, developments, etc. Topics of recent discussion have been the possibility of developing an intercollegiate Women’s Studies major, the structure and rotation among the colleges of the intro course, and coordinating the Women’s Studies curriculum across the colleges. Meetings also provide an opportunity to share news from the individual programs. Members of the Field Group are invited to all IWS-sponsored events, receive all IWS publications, and receive all IWS news and announcements via an e-mail list.
