For the last few years, IWS has been sponsoring networking luncheons for students working in campus organizations addressing gender and social justice issues, providing an opportunity for discussing topics and projects and sparking collaborations. The luncheons are often organized around a specific theme or idea and held monthly. Previous luncheons have been based on themes including the following;

  • environmental justice
  • women in politics
  • gendered inequality
  • and more!

Student Activist Lunches are organized by Nissa Gustafson, Pomona College sophomore. She writes,

“YOU as students, club leaders, and members of the 5C community are crucial in the development of collaboration. We want your suggestions, opinions, and presence. Come to our luncheons, and if there is an issue or theme that you would like to see addressed, let us know!”
